Chris Coleman (Lambda Kappa Spring ’96) was recently interviewed on “A Better Memphis”, a show focused on highlighting community-centered stories, initiatives, and local efforts aimed at improving life in the Memphis area.
They took time to sit down and call attention to the great work that Brother Coleman has been doing by creating educational opportunities for the children of the Greater Memphis area as the Executive Director of Teach for America Memphis. The program focuses on helping children keep pace and prevent them from falling behind. Brilliant minds sign up for a two year contract to teach the children of Memphis and train the city’s future leaders.

Chris has over twenty years of professional experience in the education industry including experience in secondary, post-secondary, and adult education. He holds a B.S. in Mathematics and an M.Ed. From Southern Arkansas University. He received his MBA in Finance from the Fogelman School of Business at the University of Memphis.
He is a proud native Memphian and is deeply rooted in the Memphis community with an undeniable passion, commitment, and vision toward every child in Memphis receiving an education that affords them a future full of possibilities.
