Trent Earley Promoted to Assistant Head Coach

Trent Earley (Lambda Kappa Spring 2k11) was recently promoted to Assistant Head Coach/Co-Defensive Coordinator/LB Coach at Valdosta State University

We are so proud of Brother Earley. He got his Bachelor’s Degree in Physical Education from Southern Arkansas University and a Master’s Degree in Sports Management from The University of Texas at Austin. Since then.

Coach Earley really knows how to stay busy. In 2013 he worked as an outside linebacker coach and assistant recruiting coordinator at Oklahoma Baptist. In the spring of 2015, Earley assisted North Texas as a special teams analyst. In fall 2014, Earley worked at Northwestern State as a linebacker defensive graduate assistant, where he coached Marion Chapman, a first team all-conference linebacker.

He served as a graduate assistant at the University of Texas under linebacker coach Jean-Mary from 2015 to 2017 where he assisted coach Jean-Mary with All-American and Big 12 Defensive Freshman of the Year, Malik Jefferson, and second team All-Big 12 performer Pete Jinkens.

In 2017, he joined the University of South Florida staff served as as the defensive graduate assistant working with the defensive line and then served as a defensive analyst at the in 2019.

He then moved on to Colorado Mesa University where he coached for now-VSU head coach Tremaine Jackson and helped lead them to a 10-3 record during his tenure. Coach Jackson was sure to bring Coach Earley with him to Valdosta State and they had almost immediate success winning the Gulf South Conference title in 2023.
